Bowser, JoAnne
JoAnne Bowser, 76, of 2913 E Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Private services: Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, by Father David Beckman. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Shelly Bowser, Connie (Bill) Dvorak of Cedar Rapids and Scott (Cindy) Bowser of Cedar Rapids; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeannine (John) Heldt of Cedar Rapids and Diane Sannes of Remer, Minn.; brother, William (Jeanne) Duffy of Pittsburg, Kan.; and nieces and nephews.
JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents; son, Brad; and brothers, Jack (Elaine) Duffy and Michael Duffy.
Born July 15, 1934, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, JoAnne was the daughter of Elmer and Clara (Schulte) Duffy. She retired from Cryovac.
JoAnne was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church, the Teamsters Union and enjoyed gardening.
