TERRY JOSEPH WEBSTER
Independence
In the presence of family, Terry Joseph Webster, 69, of Independence, passed away in his sleep on March 25, 2017.
He was born Jan. 30, 1948, to Robert and Tillie Webster, in Cresco, Iowa. On Jan. 31, 1992, he married Wendy Sullivan in St. Louis, Mo. Terry enjoyed his family, friends and his animals.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy; and six children, Stormy Webster of Chandler, Ariz., Rita Paxton of Mesa, Ariz., Scott Webster of Gilbert, Ariz., Robert Webster of Independence, Jason Webster of Quasqueton and Shannon Sullivan of Cedar Rapids; 16 grandchildren, Jacob and Elizabeth (Stormy), Hannah and Emily (Rita), Harrison, Lawrence, McKenzie, Scott Jr. and Chloe (Scott), Ryan, Tyler and Kylee (Robert), Ethan, Maya and Colton (Jason) and Caleb (Shannon); two sisters, Mary Luke of Cedar Rapids and Liz Miller (Ron) of Independence; brother, Don Webster of Elgin; sister-in-law, Sherry Webster of Palo; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert, Tommy and Gary; brother-in-law, Jack (Mary); and many loved and cherished friends. In addition, 12 white-tailed deer, 11 ferrets, 10 porcupines, nine fainting goats, eight skunks, seven peacocks, six Sicilian donkeys, five prairie dogs, four hedge hogs, three big-horned rams, two bobcats and a potbellied pig named Zelda.
A special thank you and great appreciation for the Independence EMTs, staff at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clincs, St. Luke's Hospital and Cedar Valley Hospice.
A time of gathering will be held March 31 at First Baptist Church, Second Street SE, Independence. Family will be welcoming at 10 a.m., a small ceremony at 11:30 a.m., followed by a luncheon.

A celebration of Terry's life will be held at 5 p.m. March 31 at Wolfey's Waspsi Outback, Quasqueton.
Like in life as in death, he did it his way.
