Riverside Casino boycott is urged

I would like to ask all Cedar Rapids and Linn County residents who enjoy casino entertainment to not go to Riverside Casino.
The management of Riverside said it would lose 30 percent to 40 percent of its income with a casino in Cedar Rapids. This was the deciding factor in Cedar Rapids being denied a license for a casino. By Cedar Rapids and Linn County residents not patronizing Riverside, we will see if the estimates are true. Maybe we could start going back when Linn County starts receiving 30 percent to 40 percent of the non-profit proceeds from Riverside. Waterloo and Tama are roughly the same distance/time as Riverside.
I will never visit Riverside again. I hope the majority of area residents feel the same. Whether government can sanction monopolies or oligarchies, and if selecting only some industries is discriminatory, is a question for the courts. I hope this avenue is being explored. Evidently the Sherman Anti-Trust l aws don't apply to gambling in Iowa.
