Angela Marie Lowry, 49, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Teahen Funeral Home. Burial: Fairfax Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Teahen Funeral Home and also after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Angela is survived by her husband, Edward; son, Jon Whitlatch; daughter, Sara Whitlatch; brother, Dale Whitlatch; half brother, Dean Whitlatch; and stepmother, Margaret Whitlatch.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Forrest Whitlatch; and first husband, Craig Whitlatch.
Angela was born Dec. 12, 1964, in Newton, the daughter of Richard and Norma Barclay. She married Edward Lowry on March 14, 2014, at First Church of the Nazarene. Angela was an administrative assistant for many years at Rockwell Collins.
Angela loved animals, especially dogs and cats. She was an easy person to be with and had a sparkle for life. She enjoyed a good cup of coffee and good conversation. She liked watching inspirational TV, such as "The Waltons," "Little House on the Prairie" and any show on the Hallmark channel.
Angela had many health issues over the years, but she always kept her spirits up and was hopeful of recovering. She made friends wherever she was and had such a love for life.
Angela with be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Church of the Nazarene.
