Remember: Higher speeds can lead to a dead end

It's that time of year when new statistics abound, and some aren't good. This one has to do with speeding. We just can't seem to get to a destination fast enough, even though the time saved is inconsequential.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has stated over 2,000 people were killed in 2017 because of increased speed limits. The downfall is that drivers always seem to bank their speed higher, thinking it's within tolerances. Increasing speed then creates two crashing factors to consider.

There is a bottom line for those who don't survive. No more birthdays, no more Christmases, no more family picnics, no more celebrations, no more anything.

Think before you take the chance. It's not worth it.
