Mary Margaret Ashley passed away on Dec. 11, 2018.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Carl Ashley; daughters, Carol Bergin, Julie Whitlow and Katie Ashley; grandchildren, Mary Thompson, Sam Thompson, Maxwell Thompson, Gracie Whitlow, Nick Whitlow and Callaway Whitlow; great-grandchildren, Noah and Bentley Thompson; sisters, Carol Brookman, Almeda Cole and Pat Glew; brother, Charlie Tauber.
She was preceded in death by grandson, Benjamin James Kauppi; and brothers, Robert and Jerry Tauber.
Mary was a dedicated wife and mother who took great pride in raising their children and running the household business. She made their home a welcoming place for children of all ages to come to. With her lively and caring spirit, there never was a lack of people in their home and at their dinner table. Her family describes their daughter Katie as being "her life," pouring her time and efforts into whatever she needed. Mary was a proud graduate of Regis High School, Class of 1964.
To honor and celebrate Mary's life, there will be a funeral Mass at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Anthony Stewart, celebrant. There will be a time of visitation from 11 a.m. until time of Mass at the church. Burial will follow at Williamson Memorial Gardens.
