UPDATE: Police in SWAT gear entered a southeast Cedar Rapids house to execute a narcotics search warrant early Friday.
The team of heavily armored officers responded around 6:15 a.m. to 1415 Fifth Ave. SE. Sgt. Dave Dostal said no drugs were located inside the house, but evidence of drug use was present.
A resident of the house, 32-year-old Jose Perry, was cited for disorderly house, police said. He was allowed to sign a promise to appear in court and was not taken to jail.
Plain-clothed officers wearing latex gloves were handling materials on the front porch of the house.
The house is on the same property where a young boy was seriously hurt by a dog in June.
