Richard Hawkins, born Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1963, in Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, at Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville, Ill.
Graveside services: 1 p.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy E. Barborek (Kenneth) of Ocala, Fla.; brothers, Harold (Linda) of Galesburg, Ill., Michael (Patricia) of Effingham, Ill., and Roger (Cindy) of Urbana, Ill.; a sister, D. Renee Hawkins (Jim Atwell) of San Diego, Calif.; 10 nephews; 9 nieces; 17 great-nieces; and 14 great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harrold T. Hawkins, Cedar Rapids, with whom he worked with for many years at H& H Motors.
Richard lived in Effingham, Ill., from 2002 until March 2016. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Effingham. He was employed by FAYCO of Vandalia, Ill., from 2003 until 2011.
