Schmock, Vernon B.
Vernon B. Schmock, 86, of rural Manchester, Iowa, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester.
Private funeral services will be held Wednesday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home & Crematory, Manchester, with the Rev. Mary Green officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Manchester.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Schmock of Manchester; two children, Suzy (Tom) Tibbott and Steve Schmock and special friend, Rose Sperfslage, all of Manchester; one granddaughter, Lindsey Becker; and one sister, Violet York of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Vernon enjoyed hunting and fishing, and soil conservation was important to him.
