LeRoy Gardemann
LEROY EDWARD GARDEMANN Cedar Rapids LeRoy Edward Gardemann, 86, of Clarkdale, Ariz., formerly of Cedar Rapids, entered into peace Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, in Cottonwood, Ariz. Ashes will be interred this summer at St. Stephens Cemetery. Atkins. Survivors include his children, Greg Gardemann and Linda Warman; three grandchildren, Jesse Warman, Jason Warman and Steve Jones; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maureen; brother, Leon; sister, Lavonne; and parents, Harry and Laura. LeRoy was born Dec. 11, 1929, in Atkins, and married his high school sweetheart, Maureen Williams, in July 1949. He was employed as an engineer on the Rock Island Railroad for 29 years. He lived the last six years of his life in Clarkdale, Ariz., with his son, Greg. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, trap shooter, fisherman and golfer. LeRoy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
