Dixie Lee Pinch, 76, passed away in Henderson, Nev., on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016, after a long battle with dementia/Alzheimer's disease.
She was born and raised on her parents' farm in Iowa on June 24, 1940, and attended a one-room schoolhouse. She married Bob Pinch on Oct. 24, 1959, in Center Point.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Charlotte Whitenack.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Bob Pinch; her four children and their spouses, June (Matt) Hobson of Spokane, Wash., David (Sue) Pinch of Lacey, Wash., Diane (Mike) Beckstead of West Jordan, Utah, and Steve (Nicole) Pinch of Henderson, Nev.; her grandchildren, Kyle Beckstead, Brad Hobson, Brandon Pinch, Sean Beckstead, Holly Hobson, Jessica Pinch and Lauren Pinch; and her sisters, Janet and Donna.
Dixie was an amazing wife, mother, daughter and friend. She loved her family with all her heart. She was their biggest cheerleader and always attended all events with a T-shirt or quilt made especially for the event. She relished in babysitting and playing with her grandchildren.
She had unconditional love for her husband, Bob; they were inseparable and always did everything together. They traveled extensively to visit family and friends.
She also loved crafting, racing, cooking, sewing, animals and Elvis.
A Celebration of Life memorial was held in Henderson on Sept. 4. Another Celebration of Life memorial will be held in Iowa in the spring of 2017.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful if those who wish to honor her memory would make a donation to Pro Care Hospice of Nevada at www.procarehospicenv.com or by mail at the following address: Pro Care Hospice of Nevada, 7469 W. Lake Mead Blvd., Suite 200, Las Vegas, NV 89128.
