George S. Lenzen Sr., 91, of Trivoli, Ill., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, in Farmington Country Manor, Farmington, Ill. George's wish was to be cremated. At George's request, there will be no services.
George was born May 9, 1927, in Anamosa, Iowa, to Verdi and Bena (Ludeman) Lenzen.
George was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Charys Pinney.
Surviving are three sons, G. Stuart (Lee) Lenzen Jr. of Cedar Rapids, Philip F. (Anne) Lenzen of Cedar Rapids and W. David (Patti) Lenzen of Tiffin; sister, Ann (Cyrus) McCalley of Tucson, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
George worked as a stockbroker for many years in Cedar Rapids and was a World War II Navy veteran.
