Bernie Sanders will work for the people

To the editor:

A government of, by, and for the people sums up Bernie Sanders' political record and what his truly grassroots campaign is about. Sanders knows it's the people, not the corporations, who go to the polls and mark the ballots.

For many, if not most of the problems our nation faces, the core of the problem can be traced back to the disease of a government of, by, and for the wealthy (plutocracy). Sanders knows that until this country cures its plutocracy there will be little improvement in the symptoms of that disease. Whether the symptom be low minimum wage, exorbitant education and health care costs, loopholes for corporations, international issues, the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer, water and air quality, or climate change to name a few, they will continue to worsen until we cure our plutocracy.

Sanders has a long record of standing up to the mega corporations and Wall Street. He fights the disease while also treating the symptoms. He does not accept corporate donations to get elected/re-elected so is not part of the disease we are suffering from.

Please join Sanders and millions of others in giving us billionaire relief so we can see real improvement in the spider web of symptoms our government has created. It will take all of us, not just the president.
