My family lost our son to K2. He name was Jerrald Meek. If it had not been legal, he would not have used it. This false sense of, 'It is legal, it must be OK” is what pulled my son into to using it. He served his country in four tours of duty. Three in Afghanistan. He could not sleep because of post-traumatic stress. He told his father it helped him sleep.
I begged him to get help and even went as far as telling him the real pot is safer, even if it is illegal. K2 and spice can be legally sold to your children. They can have packaging that says things like: Scooby Snax, Pot-tarts.
I held a public forum in Cedar Rapids on Nov. 1. Questions were asked: 'Who are these people selling this garbage?” 'Are they trying to kill us off one by one?” My question is: 'Do these people not have a soul and a conscience?” I was given the answer by a friend: 'No, they sold it for a buck.” I am working to get the Cedar Rapids ordinance to go statewide, so it cannot be sold or marketed.
