CYRIL CORRIGAN
Decorah
Cyril "Cy" Corrigan, 87, of Decorah, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, at Aase Haugen Nursing Home in Decorah. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 307 West Main St.,
Decorah, with the Rev. Phillip Gibbs presiding. Burial will be in St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery, Decorah. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at Schluter-Balik Funeral Home in Decorah and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
Cy is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jean Corrigan, Decorah; five brothers, Gerald Corrigan, Dubuque, John (Lois) Corrigan, Robert (Peg) Corrigan, Rich (Elaine) Corrigan, all of Cedar Rapids, and Pat Corrigan, Decorah; sisters, Fern Corrigan, Cedar Rapids, Dee Corrigan, Cedar Rapids, Jean Mathis, Waukon, Lorraine Bangs, Marshalltown, and Helen Mathis, Waukon; along with several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Cy was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rose (McCormick) Corrigan; Cy's three premature children; five brothers, Charles (Eleanor) Corrigan, Wayne Corrigan, Jim "Doc" Corrigan, Mark Corrigan and Mike (Laverle) Corrigan; sisters and brothers-in-law, Annie Corrigan, LaVonne Corrigan, Vince Mathis and William "Bill" Corrigan; along with some nieces and nephews.
