Shirley Jane More passed away Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at her home in Granbury, Texas. Services will be held in December at the Phoenix National Cemetery.
Born Sept. 3, 1923, to Hazel and Walter Kreutner, in Boone, Iowa, she was a loving mother and grandmother. As a child she attended Lutheran school in Cedar Rapids, She later attended college. She was the executive secretary for the inventor of the trampoline at Nissen Corp. During her life, she was a member of the Cedar Rapids Chapter of the Daughters of the Nile, The Order of the Eastern Star and the Troy Mills American Legion Auxiliary.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Willard E. (Bill) More; children, Marc and Kathy Newland and Patricia More; and brothers, Waldo and Robert Kreutner.
She is survived by her children, Scott Newland (Patricia) of Buckeye, Ariz., Terry More of Parker, Ariz., Karen Newland Davidson (Peter) of Granbury and David (Joe) Newland (Sonya) of Goodyear, Ariz.; as well as 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
