Kesha coming to 80/35 this weekend

DES MOINES - International pop superstar Kesha is headlining the 11th annual two-day 80/35 festival with a 9:15 p.m. concert Saturday night (7/7) in Des Moines' Gateway Park, 12th and Locust streets.
Nearly 50 national, regional and local acts are set to perform on multiple stages Friday (7/6) and Saturday (7/7), alongside a wide variety of activities for all ages. Other headliners include edgy electronic group Phantogram, Minneapolis hip-hop mainstays Atmosphere, Australian rocker Courtney Barnett, indie rock prodigy Car Seat Headrest and the R&B stylings of BJ The Chicago Kid.
Doors open at 4 p.m. Friday, with music starting at 5 p.m., and at 11 a.m. Saturday, with music starting at noon. Advance tickets are $85 for a two-day pass and $52 for one day. Tickets at the gate are $95 for two days and $55 for one day. Lagunitas Lounge wristbands are available in advance or day-of for $20. Limited VIP passes remain for $195.
An all-ages after-party featuring CupcakKe with MaZoo and D.Carlone begins at 11 p.m. Saturday at Des Moines Social Club, 900 Mulberry St.; doors open at 10:30 p.m.; admission is free with a festival wristband or $10 without.

Free activities include a Kids' Zone with inflatables, face-painting, arts and crafts and plenty of shade; Saturday story time between sets; a community village with activities, a Kesha paint-by-number mural on Locust Street; aerial arts flash mobs and more on two stages on Locust near 13th Street; yoga; an inflatable sculpture; henna tattoos; and a water-misting tent. Food, drink and merchandise also will be sold on-site.
Olivia Bee International pop superstar will headline the two-day 80/35 music festival in Des Moines, with a concert Saturday night (7/7). The festival begins Friday (7/6) and offers ticketed concerts as well as free activities for all ages in the city's Western Gateway Park downtown.
