Shooting wasn't heroic
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Oct. 14, 2013 1:37 pm
Most of America has seen the Oct. 3 video. D.C. Capitol Police fired shots and killed an unarmed mentally ill woman while her baby girl screamed for help in the back seat of their car. And, shortly thereafter, our representatives, the U.S. Congress, stood and cheered and thanked the officers for their heroic actions. Really! In 2013 U.S. of A., it appears that all of us are now suspects, possible terrorists. Killing force will be applied. No questions asked.
I trust the Founding Fathers, the fathers of this dying Republic, are spinning in their graves.
