Rail service deserves a second look

To our Governor Branstad:
It would way over federal and state budgets to add a third lane to I-380 from north of I-80 to the southern Cedar Rapids city limit. Governor Branstad, if only you would have approved the Amtrak across Iowa bill (instead of appropriating the funds to the Iowa school districts).
You should have OKed the Iowa interstate rail. It could be again named the Rocky Mountain Rocket, from its C.R.I. and P.R.R. heydays. Mr. Governor, think about it the next time you pass a bill which has to do with the Iowa railroads. This would cut down traffic.
