More Cell Phone Tricks - Hang Up While Driving

You can search the Internet for all kinds of cell phone tricks, which seems an appropriate topic today since my Ramblin' column in The Gazette dispells the popular e-mail that proclaims "5 Things You Never Knew Your Cell Phone Could Do" thanks to an article at Snopes.com
Fox News has a story about seven tricks you can do with your cell phone. Among them:
- 1-888-FRUCALL: If you're in a store and you want to know if you're getting a good deal, call this number and enter the product bar code. For free, it'll tell you what you're looking at and what online merchants are selling it for.
- Popularity Dialer: popularitydialer.com. This is more for kicks. Let's say you've got a meeting coming up that you know you'll want to be distracted from or a date you know you'll want to break off early. You can schedule this service to call you at a pre-planned time. A male or female voice (your choice) will come on the time and start talking, like it's a real friend or a real interruption.
Can't find your cell phone and don't have another phone to use to call it (especially for people who have given up their landlines). Simply go to www.wheresmycellphone.com, enter your cell number and listen for it to ring. When you find it, hang up.
The best tip of all, however, comes from an article on AskMen.com.
8) Wheel Of Fortune
Excessive cell phone usage has been known to cause many accidents on the road, so use your cell phone sparingly while driving. Better yet, avoid using your cell altogether while behind the wheel, or use the cellular Hands-Free Kit, which allows motorists to talk on the cell and keep both hands on the wheel.
Yep. The best trick of all is to hang up while driving -- and I mean YOU!
