Frazier, Mary Louise
Mary Louise Frazier, 79, died Sunday, May 16, 2010, at the Keystone Nursing Care Center, Keystone, following an extended illness. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Van Horne, with Father Jack McClure, C.P.P.S. as celebrant. Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, near Keystone. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Phillips Funeral Home, Keystone, where a vigil service will begin at 7 p.m., and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the church in Van Horne.
A memorial fund has been established.
Mary was born Dec. 2, 1930, at Van Horne, to Walter and Claire Louise (Simmons) Van Steenhuyse. She graduated from the Williamsburg High School in 1949. On Dec. 2, 1950, she married Kenneth Francis Frazier at Williamsburg.
Mary is survived by four sons, Bill (Paula) Frazier and Don (Amy) Frazier, all of Van Horne, Steve (Gail) Frazier of Kirksville, Mo., and Leo (Cindy) Frazier of Cedar Rapids; nine grandchildren, Marcie, Jan, David, Cassie, Rachel, Ashlee, Cameron, Brayden and Drake; five great-grandchildren; her brothers, Ray (Helen) Van Steenhuyse of Des Moines, Gerald (Kate) Van Steenhuyse of Williamsburg, and Earl Van Steenhuyse of Newport Beach, Calif.; her sister, Rita (Ed) Bower of Williamsburg; several nieces and nephews; and her second family of caregivers and residents at the Keystone Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Kenneth; and her brother, Leo Van Steenhuyse.
