Rabik, Ellajean
CENTER POINT - Ellajean Rabik, 87, of Center Point, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Private services will take place. The family will greet friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. Burial: Alice Cemetery, rural Center Point.
Survivors include her children, Ronald Rabik of Center Point, Gary Rabik of Kingman, Ariz., and Cheryl (Hawley) Clark of Center Point; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers and sisters; and her husband, Merl.
Ellajean was born Nov. 21, 1922, the daughter of James and Cassie McArthur, in rural Shellsburg, Iowa. On June 6, 1941, she was united in marriage to Merl Rabik at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He died Oct. 13, 2006. A homemaker and farm wife, Ellajean enjoyed fishing and playing cards. She was a member of the Alert Homemakers Club.
