Yunsoo Lee, 56, of Iowa City, formerly of Korea, passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at All Nations Baptist Church in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at Lensing's Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Rd., Coralville. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Iowa City.
Memorials may be directed to The Yunsoo Lee Memorial Fund.
Yunsoo Lee was born in Daegu, South Korea, on June 10, 1960. He graduated from Kyongbuk High School. He earned his B.A. degree from Yeungnam University and later went on to receive his M.A. degree from Ball State University in Indiana. Yunsoo started his course work for his Ph.D. at the University of Iowa, but took a leave of absence for health reasons.
He married Soyeun Lee on June 11, 1989. The couple have two sons, Kyumok Lee and Sungmok Lee.
Yunsoo Lee worked for the Korean branch of customer service of Nokia as CEO. He served as an instructor for an institute in Seoul, South Korea.
