Lee, Ron E.
Ron E. Lee, 55, of Fayette, passed away Friday, Oct. 28, 2011. He was born Feb. 7, 1956, at Winona General Hospital in Winona, Minn., the son of Alfred R. and Fern V. (Luehmann) Lee. He married Sharmaine (Charli) E. Myers on Sept. 5, 1998. Ron graduated from Starmont High School in Arlington, Iowa.
Ron was a loving husband, father, brother and son. He enjoyed helping others, being outdoors, boating and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Sharmaine Lee of Fayette; his daughters, Monica (Eric) Engelbart of Wyoming, Iowa, Ellen (Terry) Lee-Halder of Storm Lake, Katie Lee of Monticello, Taylor Lee and son, Austin Lee, who reside at home; his parents, Alfred and Fern Lee of Independence, five grandchildren, Mitchell Engelbart, Gage Engelbart, Carson Kruse, Natalia Lee-Halder and Jeremiah Lee; a sister, Laura Lee of Lansing; two brothers, Les Lee (Pam Miller) of Independence, and Lorne (Debra) Lee of Independence; a brother-in-law, John Jr. (Kendra) Myers of Center Point; a sister-in-law, Jacki (Derald) Robbins of Edgewood; and many nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded by his maternal and paternal grandparents; his mother-in-law and his father-in-law, Elaine and John Myers Sr.; and his uncle, Abraham Luehmann.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at the S.K. Rogers Funeral Home, 120 Main St., Fayette, and one hour before the services at the funeral home. A private family inurnment will occur at a later date. A public visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
