Donald "Don" Nemec, 74, passed away Dec. 16, 2015, in Yulee, Fla.
Don was born in Perry, Iowa, on June 6, 1941.
Survivors include son, Robert E. Nemec, Yulee; brothers, Rodney (Sheryl), Cedar Rapids, and Roger Plum, Oro Valley, Ariz.; sister, Susan Thomas, Belle Plaine; grandsons, Devin (Heather) Nemec and Brady Nemec; great-granddaughter, Ariana Nemec; and many nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. and Dorothy M. Nemec; wife, Judy (Horning) Nemec; son, Donald Nemec Jr.; and brother, Robert C. Nemec.
He was a 1960 graduate of Marion High School. Don retired from the Army after 20 years of service as a master sergeant and Army recruiter. He later retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
Graveside services will be conducted at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors on April 19 at 1 p.m.
