Elliott, Shelia Julane
Shelia Julane Elliott, 54, of Cedar Rapids, died April 16, 2011, at home. Celebration of Life: 6 p.m. April 26 at Community of Christ Church, 1500 Blairs Ferry Rd., Hiawatha, IA 52233.
Survivors include her mother, Martha “Noreen” Chapman-Thompson; children, Richard Elliott (Amy Ellis), Brianna Elliott and Makayla Elliott; brother, Lynn (Jolene) Ferguson; sisters, Judith (Ron) Smolinski and Donna (John) Thompson; “honorary siblings,” Lucky, P.T., Peppy, Zig, Di and Lana Luedtke; two stepchildren; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Cody Elliott.
She was born April 26, 1956, to Noreen Chapman and James Elliott in Hampton, Iowa. Shelia enjoyed cooking, watching movies, was an avid motorcyclist, pet lover and loved spending time with her family. Shelia liked to volunteer for the Jerry Lewis Telethon and American Red Cross.
