Ruth Esther (Dvorsky) Lange, 89, of Marion, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 18, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Marion, by Pastor Bob Gaston. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.
Survivors include her sons, Douglas (Susan) Lange, Thomas (Debra Hollingsworth) Lange and Bruce (Wendy) Lange; six grandchildren, Jessica Roloson, Steven Roloson, Rebecca Lange, Bruce
(Megan) Lange Jr., Pastor Kayla Lange and Brent Lange; three great-grandchildren, Alexis Tschantz, Daeton Lucky and Mason Lucky; and many nieces and nephews.
Ruth was born Oct. 21, 1924, in Springville, Iowa, the daughter of George and Lillian (Moravek) Dvorsky. She graduated from Springville High School and married Allen Lange. They later divorced. They owned Lange 66 Service in Marion for 25 years, where Ruth was
bookkeeper and then she owned
Hummingbird Cleaning
Service.
Ruth enjoyed organic gardening for over 40 years and was the secretary of the Natural Food Organization (NFO). She will be
remembered for the love and care she gave to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents;
brother, Louis Dvorsky;
sisters, Elenor Kray and Lillian Gillbert; and grandchildren, Jason Lange and Brooke Lange.
