To the editor:
The left Democratic side of our political spectrum in America consistently tells the American people that to require a photo ID in order to vote in our elections is a form of racism.
I heard on a local radio station the Democratic contenders were announcing a debate to be held at an institution of higher learning. Due to limited space the students would need to participate in a lottery to attend. A requirement to gain admittance was to present a photo ID at the door.
I recently had to get a new library card in Cedar Rapids in order to be able to check out books and or movies from the library. I was required to show a photo ID to get a new library card.
Let me get this straight. In order to attend a Democratic debate or to use the public library, I need a photo ID. To require a photo ID to qualify to vote in America is racism. You tell me, is this a comedy or a tragedy?
