Support continues foundation mission
The Gazette Opinion Staff

On behalf of the board of directors, friends, volunteers and staff of the Community Foundation of Johnson County, I thank the Brown Deer Golf Course and the many businesses, golfers and others who came out on a beautiful spring day to make the seventh annual Tee Off for Community-Team Up for Philanthropy golf outing possible.
The inspiration for this event came from an associate partner, United Way of Johnson County. For three years, we shared responsibilities and results. When United Way refocused its efforts, the foundation board of directors, all who have been touched by the mission of the Community Foundation, were determined to continue the effort. They wanted to ensure the Johnson County community continues to serve those in need.
The vision continues today as the Community Foundation touches the lives of hundreds of people through our non-profit and affiliate partners: Serve the people of Johnson County by building an endowment for the greater community good.
We deeply appreciate the ongoing sponsorship of the Brown Deer Golf Course and the generous contributions of so many sponsors, volunteers and others who make this outing possible. This extraordinary support is a tribute to our community, and all who believe in the mission of the Community Foundation.
