HARPER'S FERRY – Heavy machinery will be needed to clear an Allamakee County highway after a train derailment Sunday.
County Road X52, also known as Old Highway 364, remained closed Monday morning after several cars jumped the tracks about three miles south of Harper's Ferry. No injuries were reported, and nothing spilled as a result of the accident, authorities said.
Traffic is detoured around the wreck onto gravel roads.
An investigation was under way to determine the cause of the derailment.
