Postseason golf assignments

The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union and Iowa High School Athletic Association have both released their postseason assignments for golf.

Cedar Rapids Jefferson will host a Class 4A regional tournament at Jones Golf Course on May 23.  The 12-team field consists of Cedar Falls, Jefferson, Cedar Rapids Kennedy, Cedar Rapids Prairie, Dubuque Hempstead, Dubuque Senior, Iowa City High, Linn-Mar, Ottumwa, Waterloo West, Waverly-Shell Rock and Western Dubuque.

Cedar Rapids Washington, Cedar Rapids Xavier and Iowa City West travel to Long Grove for a 4A regional at Glynns Creek Golf Course.

Decorah and Washington, Iowa, will host 3A girls district meets on May 16. The Vikings will compete at Oneota Golf and Country Club with ?Charles City, Crestwood, Independence, New Hampton, Oelwein, Waukon, West Delaware. The Demons will host Clear Creek Amana, Grinnell, Fairfield, Keokuk, Mount Pleasant, Williamsburg.

In 2A girls, district sites include Fayette, Fillmore and Kalona.

Clayton Ridge, Denver, Dyersville Beckman, MFL MarMac, North Fayette, South Winneshiek, Starmont and Sumner-Fredricksburg will play at Big Rock Country Club.

Colfax-Mingo, East Marshall, Iowa City Regina, Mid-Prairie, North-Linn, Pella Christian, West Branch and West Liberty will compete at Kalona Golf Club.

Camanche, Cascade, Durant, Maquoketa Valley, North Cedar, Northeast, Tipton, Wilton are at Fillmore Fairways.

Area 1A girls teams will compete in district meets at Grundy Center, New Sharon, New London, Greene, Jesup and Calamus.

Solon's Saddleback Ridge Golf Course will host a 3A boys sectional meet Thursday, May 12, which is a day earlier than most. Benton Community, Clear Creek Amana, DeWitt Central, Marion, Maquoketa, Mount Vernon, Solon and Williamsburg make up the field.

Anamosa, Cednter Point-Urbana, Independence, Monticello, Oelwein, Union Community, Vinton-Shellsburg and West Delaware will compete in a 3A sectional meet at Wildcat Golf Course in Shellsburg on Friday, May 13.

In 2A boys, Clayton Ridge, Jesup, MFL MarMac, New Hampton, North Fayette, South Winneshiek, Starmont and Sumner-Fredericksburg will play at Big Rock Country Club.

Cascade will host Camanche, Dyersville Beckman, Maquoketa Valley, North Cedar, Northeast, North-Linn and Tipton at Fillmore Fairways. Mid-Prairie hosts a sectional meet at Kalona Golf Course, including Albia, Davis County, Eddyville-Blakesburg, Mid-Prairie, Iowa City Regina, Van Buren, West Branch and West Branch.

Belle Plaine and Valley Community host 1A boys sectionals. Belle Plaine will compete against Alburnett, Central City, GMG, Iowa Valley, Lisbon, North Tama and Springville at Belle Plaine Country Club

Valley will vie for berths to the following week's district meet with East Buchanan, Edgewood-Colesburg, Elkader Central, Postville, Tripoli, Turkey Valley, Wapsie Valley and West Central at Pleasant Valley Sports Club.
