Simmering, Donald C.
Donald C. Simmering, 90, of Washington, Iowa, formerly of Ainsworth, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, at the Washington County Hospital following a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jones Eden Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Wollenberg officiating. Interment: Elm Grove Cemetery, Washington. Friends may call beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Simmering of Washington; sons, Ron Simmering and wife Terri of Bettendorf, Ed Simmering of Ainsworth, n Don Simmering and wife Cindy of Ainsworth; a daughter-in-law, Jan Simmering of Branson, Mo.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Viola Hoyle of Orange, Calif.; and one brother, John Simmering Jr. and wife Roseann of Washington.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Larry Simmering; a sister, Clara Sheetz; and a brother, Ervin Simmering.
