Edna Mae Slade, 80, of Independence, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, at ABCM Rehabilitation Center's West Campus in Independence.
She is survived by two daughters, Carla Slade, Marion, and Corrine (Rob) Corkery, Walker; three grandchildren, Erica Corkery, North Liberty, Clark Corkery, Rowley, and Cecily Corkery, Walker; and one sister, Jeanne Schwab, Iowa City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence A. Slade, in 2014; a brother, Robert Brown; and two sisters, Mary Ann Eaton and Suzannah (Pink) Neuzil.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory in Independence with the Rev. Shari Andersen officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Friends may call from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until services Friday at the funeral home.
