Moyer, Darlene A.
Darlene A. Moyer, 93, of Marion, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013, in her home. A funeral service celebrating Darlene's life will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, at First Baptist Church-Marion, with the Rev. Randy Bobzien officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Randy (Jamella) Moyer of Cedar Rapids, Debra (Gene) Lien of Marion and Lesta (Bill) Kulhavy of Marion; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gary; grandson; two great-granddaughters; four brothers and a sister.
Darlene Ann Alexander was born March 1, 1920, in Preston, Minn., the daughter of Clarence and Martha (Sipe) Alexander. On May 6, 1950, she married Raymond H. Moyer in Waterloo, Iowa. He died in 1979. Darlene's greatest joy's were her family, especially her grandchildren, and her church.
She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Memorials may be given in her name to St. Luke's Hospice or First Baptist Church-Marion, home of 29th Street Mission.
