C.R.'s Arp experiencing Triple-A life

Former Cedar Rapids Xavier prep and Upper Iowa University catcher Ryan Arp is on the active roster of the Triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes.
Arp, 23, was a 45th-round draft pick of the parent Los Angeles Dodgers last year. He played 17 games this season for the Rookie Arizona League Dodgers, hitting .170 when he was sent to Albuquerque in early August as an emergency injury fill-in.
He was deactivated without playing a game and became the team's bullpen catcher, according to the Albuquerque Journal. Arp was activated again last week but still has yet to play in a game.
