Dale E. Streets, 87, of
Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, at UnityPoint-St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. A graveside service will be held at Mount Clark Cemetery, Central City, Iowa, at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion, Iowa.
Dale was born June 28, 1931, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Jack and Gladys (Miller) Streets. He served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. On Sept. 30, 1951, Dale was united in marriage to Margaret Carpenter at the Springville United Methodist Church. He worked for Wilson Company until 1991. Dale then worked for Edgewood Hardware until 2018. He was a member of Central City Legion Wapsie Post 421 and Hillside Wesleyan Church.
Dale enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Florida. He loved helping patrons of the hardware store. Dale had a great devotion for the Lord.
Dale is survived by his wife of 67 years, Margaret; sister, Sharon (Joe) Kuhn; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and niece, Lyn Marie Kuhn.
