McGuire, Norma

Norma McGuire, 73, formerly of Marengo, passed away at Parkview Manor in Wellman on Saturday, June 15, 2013. A funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, at St. James Lutheran Church in Victor, with Pastor Michael Kolesar officiating. Interment will be at Ohio Cemetery, rural Ladora, following a luncheon. A visitation will be from 1 until 7 p.m. Monday at Smith Funeral Home in Victor, with the family present from 4 to 7 p.m.

Norma is survived by her children, Jill Happel of Brooklyn, Paula (Dave) Doran of Ladora and Jay (Tess) Coghlan of Marengo; stepdaughters, Barb (Terry) McGahuey of Ladora and Pat Fry of Smyrna, Tenn.; grandchildren, Tyler (Samantha) Happel, Tawny Happel, Connor and Mariah Doran, Dawson Coghlan, Jenny (Brian) Schnebbe, Jessie (Ben) Van Waus, Matt (Lezlie) Fry and Mike (Kelly) Fry; great-grandchildren, Malcolm Happel, Michael and Nicole Schnebbe, Owen, Olivia and Aiden Van Waus and Hayden Fry; and sisters, Lois (Leland) Winegarden of Deep River and Bev (Rich) Schrader of Greeley, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Martha; husband, John; brother, Jerry Wiedemeier; nephew, Mark Widmer; and brother-in-law, Richard Widmer.

The family would like to thank the Parkview Manor of Wellman staff for the excellent care and compassion they showed toward our mother during her stay there. We were truly blessed to find such a wonderful group of people.
