Bush on vacation more than Obama

I read the letter from Gary Rees saying President Obama wasted so much money on his Christmas vacation (“Obama wasting money on flights,” Jan. 18).

Snopes.com and other websites will tell the truth. Or type in Google “who spent more on trips, Obama or Bush?” Or read http://www.politicususa.com/cost-obama-christmas-vacation-bush.html. It will be Bush by about 10 times more.

George W. Bush was on vacation more - 1,020 days - than any U.S. president since Herbert Hoover and possibly more than any other president in history.

Before people run Obama down because they just do not like the man, they should learn the facts. He is doing a good job that could be much better if the GOP would work for America instead of against it. We need those jobs bills passed that the GOP will not do. If the GOP keeps on their path they can easily go the way of the Whig Party.
