Levendusky, James Venice
James Venice Levendusky, 67, of Fairbank, died of cancer Friday, June 18, 2010, at his home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, at St. Peters Lutheran Church, Oran, with the Rev. Sandra Burroughs officiating. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Woods Funeral Home in Fairbank.
Survivors include his wife, Karen; five daughters, Tammy (Kevin) Erickson, Fairbank, Julie Kane, Cedar Rapids, Sarah (Jim) Langel, Cedar Falls, Jamie Levendusky, Oelwein, and Jill (Brad) White, Monticello; one son, Steve (Jeannette) Husome, Cedar Falls; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. and two brothers, Gary (Jeanne Wood) Levendusky, Sumner, and Mitchell Levendusky, Monona.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, David Levendusky.
Born Feb. 8, 1943, in Oelwein, Iowa, the son of Venice Levendusky and Mildred Irene (Lookabaugh) Levendusky, he married Karen McFadyen on Nov. 23, 1972, in Waterloo. James retired in 1994 from Deere and Co., after having worked there for 30 years. At present he was a rural route Waterloo Courier carrier.
