Jahnke, Lois Whitcher
Lois Whitcher Jahnke, 89, died Thursday, April 1, 2010, in her home in West Union from age-related causes. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, United Methodist Church. Burial: West Union Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Burnham-Wood Funeral Home in West Union.
Survivors include three sons, Wendel (Marcia) Whitcher and Dean Whitcher, both of West Union, and Merle (Kris) Whitcher of Waverly; a daughter, Nancy (Dan) Foe of Seattle, Wash.; a brother, Harvey Love of Aurora; a sister, Marian Erickson of Waterloo; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two stepdaughters, Judy Plambeck of Madison, Wis., and Kay Westerfield of Eugene, Ore.; and four stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Ralph Whitcher and William Jahnke; a son, Bruce; and her parents.
