Gregory Chris Goodell, 59, died of natural causes on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, in Cedar Rapids.
He was born Sept. 7, 1958, in Ogden, Utah, to George E. and Lida M. Goodell.
Greg is survived by two daughters, Bailee Goodell and Maggi (Matt) Jolley; and one brother, Michael (Sheri) G. Goodell.
Greg grew up and was educated in Roy, Utah. Greg's professional life included being a barber, a landscape architect and most recently, a backpack program coordinator for the Hawkeye Area Community Action Program (HACAP) in Hiawatha.
Among Greg's passions were his cat, BeBe; motorcycles, shooting, landscaping, fly-fishing, guitars, the blues, rock 'n' roll, Ohio State football, March Madness, bonfires and authentic Mexican food.
The family extends their sincere thanks, appreciation and gratitude to Greg's Iowa family, colleagues, first responders and hospital staff.
A casual reception will be Tuesday, Nov. 14, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Living Water Church, 1155 Grand Ave., Marion.
