LimoLink Inc. will construct a new base of operations in Marion, the company announced Monday.
The chauffeur service business said in a news release it is working with Hunter Cos. to design and construct the new headquarters. Construction is expected to start in the summer.
The company, currently located at 701 Tama St. in Marion, said it has identified a potential site for the building in the Marion Enterprise Center, a 184-acre business park along Highway 151. The new building will start at 30,000 square feet, but LimoLink will be able to add an additional 40,000 square feet, according to the Marion Economic Development Corp.
LimoLink plans to have 160 employees work out of the new HQ, but anticipates adding 45 jobs during the next three years.
This week, the city of Marion will consider whether to provide LimoLink with incentives in the form of tax increment financing, according to a city council workshop agenda.
Elplast America and Legacy Manufacturing also have headquarters in the Marion Enterprise Center.
'This opportunity affords LimoLink room to grow while maintaining the bulk of our operations staff on one campus,” LimoLink Vice President of Operations Mike Lynch said in the news release.
