JAMES DYE Marengo James K. Dye, 81, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at Rose Haven Nursing Home, Marengo. Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the First Presbyterian Church, Marengo, with the Rev. Anni Mingin officiating. Burial will be in the Marengo Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Memorials may be given to the First Presbyterian Church, Marengo. James is survived by his wife, Betty; a son, David (Diana) of Newhall; five grandchildren, Adam and Nick Dye, Holly Ethier (Eric), Emily Dye and Travis Schulte; a great-grandchild, Ryleigh Jo Ethier; and a brother, William of Lineville, Ala. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Danny; a sister, Connie Rae, in infancy; and a brother, Ronald. James was born May 3, 1934, in Iowa County, Iowa, the son of Lloyd and Rachael Dye. He received his education from the Iowa County schools and graduated from Marengo High School in 1952. He married Betty Jean Bell on July 26, 1953. They made their homes in Norway and Marengo. He was a technician at Rockwell Collins for 39 years. Jim loved spending time with his family and friends. We will miss him. Online condolences can be left at www.kloster funeralhome.com.
