Jackson, Jamie J. Soppe
Jamie J. Soppe Jackson, 39, of Durant, formerly of Monticello, died Thursday, March 3, 2011, in Grand Mound.
Jamie was born June 1, 1971, in Monticello, Iowa, the daughter of James H. and Naomi L. Aldrich Soppe. She graduated from Monticello High School in 1989 and from Ellsworth College in Iowa Falls in 1991.
Jamie worked at John Deere in Moline, Ill., where she managed the gift shop. Her children were the most important part of her life. She enjoyed fishing, camping and going on weekend trips with her children.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Durant, where the family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the service. Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Monticello Cemetery, Monticello.
Jamie is survived and lovingly remembered by her children, Joy Jackson and Eli Diercks, both of Durant; her mother, Naomi Soppe of Monticello; her sisters, Cindy and her husband, Craig Kahl and Roxie Hoffmann, both of Durant, and Lori and her husband, Terry Pearson of Cedar Rapids; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, James H. Soppe; and her grandparents.
A memorial has been established for her children.
