Graham, James 'Buzz' Glenn
James “Buzz” Glenn Graham, 71, of 26405 212th Ave., Delhi, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, from complications of pneumonia. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Ivan Nienhaus. A vigil service will be held 5 p.m. Friday at Teahen Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, where friends may visit Friday from 3 to 8 p.m., and Saturday after 9 a.m. at the church.
In addition to his wife, Sandra, he is survived by three beautiful daughters, Lori (Jim) Pearson and Teri (Brian) Donnelly, both of Cedar Rapids, and Lisa (Tom) Whitten of Hiawatha; six very special grandchildren, Cory Pearson, Kyle Donnelly, Brianna Donnelly and Blake, Laini, and Alexa Whitten; a stepgrandson, Daryl Pearson; a stepgreat-granddaughter, Megan Pearson; and a nephew, Chase Wyatt Williams.
Buzz was born Jan. 24, 1940, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Glenn and Therese Kennedy Graham, and graduated from St. Patrick School in 1958. He married Sandra Teahen on July 11, 1960. He had worked for years in the floor covering business before joining Colony Heating and Air Conditioning, where he worked for 25 years before his retirement in 2007 from a job he loved.
He was a member of the Lions Club, Cedar Rapids Homebuilders, and the Lake Delhi Association Trustees.
Lake Delhi was very special to Buzz and the rebuilding of the dam was his priority. It is so sad he did not live long enough to see it rebuilt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Mary Williams.
Instead of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
