Delores E. Hoye of Cedar Rapids passed away May 30, 2017, at her home. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial took place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Delores was born Jan. 12, 1932, in Urbana, Iowa, the daughter of LaVerne and Alma (Shinn) Grimm. She married Joseph F. Hoye in May 1970, in St. Louis, Mo. Delores worked at the Red Helmet in the Montross Hotel, the Kozy Inn, and later at Midwest Janitorial Services. She enjoyed traveling, collecting angels and flower gardening.
Delores is survived by her daughter, Judy (Bob) Pearson of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Nathan (Jill) Pearson of Central City and Travis Pearson of Cedar Rapids; great-grandchildren, Autumn and Kenny Pearson; brother, Marshall (Patsy) Grimm of Cedar Rapids; two nieces; and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; and her parents, LaVerne Grimm and Alma Augustine.
