Reese Thomas Pearson, 1-year-old son of Jay and Jennifer Pearson, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016, of a sudden illness. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by Father Tom McDermott. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories visitation room.
Surviving in addition to his parents include a sister, Allegra Cosgrove of Cedar Rapids; grandparents, Lee and Carol Pearson of Central City, Joy and Rick Stusse of Fairfax and Ray Larson and Carolyn Cleveland of Cedar Rapids; great-grandparents, Lew and Edith Pearson of Marion, Charlie and Jackie Hempstead of Manchester and Francis and Betty Smith of Humboldt; and his uncles and aunts, Ryan and Carrie Larson of Marion, Bill and Laura Fuller of Central City, Renea Fuller of Cedar Rapids, Andy Pearson of Central City, Carrie Stusse of Tucson, Ariz., and Bryan Stusse and Amy Radermacher of Minneapolis, Minn.
Reese was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Della Pearson; and great-great-grandparents, LuVerne and Joanne Sorenson, Joyce and George Larson and Harold and Clara Hempstead.
Reese was born Nov. 25, 2014, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Reese loved music, dancing, sloppy kisses and sweet hugs. He'd sit down and read any book within reach. He loved playing with his sister, Allegra, and hanging out with any of his loving grandparents. He was such a sweet-natured, happy little boy. The world is a considerably lesser place without him in it.
