Pearson, David
David Pearson, 65, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Virginia Gay Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vinton following an extended illness. A memorial gathering will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 11, at Rodgers Park near Vinton.
David was born Oct. 2, 1944, in Tony, Wis., to Clarence Dale and Ruth Ann (Jondle) Pearson. During Vietnam he served his nation in the U.S. Army and was discharged in 1964. Before his retirement he was employed as a truck driver for a construction company. He enjoyed car racing and loved his horses.
He is survived by his children, Jody Pearson and Scott Pearson, both of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren; his sister, Sharon Heins of Cedar Rapids; and his brothers, Don (Rhonda) Pearson of Vinton and Jim Pearson of Blairstown.
His parents preceded him in death.
