42nd Street reconstruction discussed tonight

CEDAR RAPIDS - City officials are holding a public meeting tonight to discuss a major road project to reconstruct on 42nd Street NE from Wenig Road NE to Interstate 380.
A variety of high traffic destinations are on the construction route, including Pierce Elementary and Kennedy High School, and others are nearby, including Transamerica and Xavier High School.
The meeting is 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Kennedy cafeteria, 4545 Wenig Rd NE. Staff will make a presentation about the project and be available for questions.
