Charles L. Blood, 64, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at his home. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a visitation at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Angel (Joe) Moores and Missi (Nathan) Pata, both of Marion; his parents, Billie and Dick Enneking; four brothers, James, Richard and Joseph Blood and Daniel Quinby; five grandchildren, Tyler, Joshua, Ashlynn, Isaac and Aubrey; two stepdaughters, Amber and Ashley Gronwoldt; a stepson, Gary Gronwold; and his former wife, Monica Simmons.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Blood.
Chuck was born July 19, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Russell and Billie Blood. He attended Kennedy High School and later continued his education at Kirkwood Community College. Chuck married Ellen Leonhardt on Nov. 17, 2015, in Cedar Rapids.
He worked for the Cedar Rapids Streets Department and retired from there after more than 30 years of service.
Chuck enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle and especially the time spent with his beloved family and many, many friends.
His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial fund has been established.
